Ease into a liquid detox
‘Ease into a liquid detox’

Gradually ease into the detox plan slowly and take each day at an even pace. Numerous detox guides will recommend that on the very first day you should go cold turkey on absolutely everything but this does not have to be the case. In fact, health detoxing often commences with a “liquid only” phase where you cannot even eat until this initial liquid phase is finished with.

The logical health rationale behind this is well researched and proven as you naturally should need to allow your body ample time to purge out unhealthy toxins before you add any new solid foods.

The liquid only phase of the detox plan in reality is a bit of a shock to the body which is not used to such a drastic change in foods. This liquid phase of the detox is essentially fasting in all but name and normally lasts one or two days. The liquid phase, it is the hardest part of any detox simply because your body is not at all prepared for it.

If you want to try a full detox, complete with a liquid only phase, ease into it by gradually cutting down on your calorie intake over a few days until you feel ready to fast. This will lessen the shock factor to the body and make the whole detox process seem fluid and natural.
